Gator BM Tapeseal is a self-adhesive sheet synthetic rubber modified used to seal joints in building or roofing applications to prevent leakage or ingress of rainwater. Bitumen is mixed with butyl to be strong and not saggy or bleed oil when exposed to heat. The surface is coated with Low-density polyethylene, LDPE film plastic that is tough, does not tear easily, and can be painted over the topcoat to help protect against radiation, UV, or for aesthetics. The underneath is a glossy Polyethylene Terephthalate, PET film that protects the adhesive surface of the material and can be peeled off for easy installation. It can adhere well to a variety of smooth surfaces such as metal, zinc, aluminum, glass, non-porous concrete

Application instruction

Surface Preparation

The surface must be cleaned without oil stains, dust or foreign matter.

Recommendations

Scissors or cutters can be used to the desired size. Remove the back film and press the tape firmly. The surface should be thoroughly pressed with a roller for firm and full adhesion. For overlap, it is recommended to overlap about 3-5 cm. Adhesion performance can be improved by heating the joint trim during use.

Caution

  • Can be used in areas with water as needed, such as rain gutters, but because the installation must be dry and clean.
  • Good performance with the covering material.
  • In cases where a general release form of topcoat paint must be used to check UV rays or use Crocodile Tape Seal.

Storage

It should be kept indoors in a plastic bag at room temperature and avoid exposure to sun or rain. The shelf-life of the unopened original packaging is 12 months from the manufacturing date.
