Crocodile Silicone MP Gator is a one-part, neutral silicone sealant with outstanding adhesion to most building substrates. It further exhibits good weather resistance and workability for glazing. It cures at room temperature in the presence of atmospheric moisture to give a permanent flexible silicone rubber. It exhibits excellent primer less adhesion to most non-porous siliceous materials e.g. glass, tiles, ceramics enamel, glazed tiles, metals e.g. aluminum, steel, zinc or copper impregnated, varnished or painted wood; and some plastics.

Application Instruction

Application Method

1. Ensure all surfaces that will be in contact with the sealant must be clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt, rust, oil, and other contaminants.

2. Nonporous substrates should be cleaned with solvent and wiped dry immediately with a cloth before the solvent evaporates from the surface. Porous surfaces should be roughened with a stiff-bristled brush, rubbed down, or sandblasted.

3. Cut off the tip nozzle and cartridge. Screw on the nozzle to the cartridge.

4. Fit into the caulking gun; apply on the surface in a steady flow.

5. If required, smooth and shape sealant with a spatula dipped in mild detergent.

6. To remove excess uncured sealant with a mineral turpentine-soaked cloth. Fully cured excess sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp knife.

7. Content fully cures in 24-48 hours.

Coverage: 280 ml/ 2.8 m (joint width 1x1 cm)

Suggestion

  • Not recommended for sealing of aquarium or for long-term use underwater.
  • Not suitable for food-grade applications where the joints are likely to come in contact with food.
  • Not suitable for the following plastic substrates Polyethylene, Polypropylene, ABS, Acrylic, and Polycarbonate (PC).
  • Can not be painted as the paint will not adhere to sealant.
  • The adhesion can be improved in many cases by pretreatment of the substrate with a primer.

Caution

  • Use of rubber gloves, dust masks, eye protection, and other safety equipment is recommended.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.
  • Apply with good ventilation. Do not inhale product.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not eat.

Storage

  • It should be kept in a dry place and the temperature is not too high to avoid product degradation.
  • Use within 12 months from the date of manufacturing.
