Crocodile Road Fix Express is a fast-setting, special polymer-modified cement mortar for smoothening floor surfaces. Can be used to repair any surface defects in concrete with application on 2-5 mm/round  thickness without cracking. Crocodile Road Fix Express has excellence bonding to cement substrate, high abrasive-resistant and crack-resistant. Can be used as a top layer without the need for covering material. The product is easy to use, by using a trowel or rubber squeegee for smoothening the surface. A flat wire texture broom can be used to create friction on the surface. The applied area is ready to access within 6 hours. Suitable for large areas such as roads, concrete yards, warehouse floors, freight handling areas, parking lots, rice mill factory floors, recreational areas, etc.

Application Area

Use to repair and improve the condition of existing uneven concrete surfaces or smooth concrete surfaces. The product can repair areas with depths ranging from 2-5 millimeters per round such as roads, concrete yards, warehouse floors, freight handling areas, parking lots, rice mill factory floors, recreational areas, etc.

Application Instruction

Substrate Preparation:

For old concrete

  1. The substrate must be in good condition. Any incomplete concrete, dirt, form-oil, curing compound must be removed.
  2. If there is any crack on the road with a width greater than 10 mm, cover the crack with Crocodile Acrylic Patch before applying Crocodile Road Fix Express.
  1. If the substrate has mold and mildew, clean the surface with a brush or high-pressure water jet, let the substrate dry, and then apply Crocodile Biocidal Wash. Allow it to dry before applying Crocodile Road Fix Express.
  2. In case of polished or coated concrete, perform a water drop test by dropping water on the substrate and leaving it for 10 seconds. If the water does not penetrate, it is recommended to polish the surface using a buffing machine with a roughness sheet for better absorption.
  3. In case the surface of the concrete is not strong, it is recommended to grind the surface with a concrete grinding machine to condition it for stronger substrate.
  4. All free water should be carefully released with instruction. The surface must be damp but dry (Saturated Surface-Dry, SSD Condition).
  5. Should not work in areas where settlement is still occurring, where visible cracks are present, or consult with an expert before starting the work.

For New Concrete

  1. The substrate must be in good condition. Any incomplete concrete, dirt, form-oil, curing compound must be removed.
  2. The substrate should be cured at least 28 days.
  3. All free water should be carefully released with instruction. The surface must be damp but dry (Saturated Surface-Dry, SSD Condition).
  4. Should not work in areas where settlement is still occurring, where visible cracks are present, or consult with an expert before starting the work.

Mixing Ratio

Crocodile Road Fix Express with 20-22% water or Crocodile Road Fix Express 1 bag (20 kilograms) per water 4.0-4.4 liters.

Mixing Method

Mix Crocodile Road Fix Express with water. Stir with slow speed electric mixer (>500 rpm) around 1-2 minutes.

Application Method

  1. Pour the Crocodile Floor Patching Mortar on the surface by pouring longitudinally along the area to be repaired.
  2. Using a floor rubber squeegee to apply 2-5 mm thickness/time.
  3. Wait for the first layer to dry for approximately 1 hour.
  4. Apply the second layer to smooth the surface.
  5. Use a trowel to apply the edging area.
  6. The applied area can be used after 6 hours with light traffic (small car).

Estimated Coverage

Approximately 1.5-2 kilograms / 1 square meter (working in 2 rounds at a thickness of 2 millimeters per round)

It depends on the type and condition of the substrate. The exact consumption must be determined by means of a sampling of the work.

Suggestion

  • To avoid the pinhole, should cool down the temperature by moist substrate with clean water.
  • High environmental temperature might shorten bucket life and open time of products. Using cool water to prevent this case.
  • The special additive is contained to maintain the hydration in the product. The substrate should be moist but not wet. Too much water on substrate may cause blistering or defect.
  • To appropriate thickness, recommend apply product by Squeegee.
  • To avoid the trowel mark does not recommend the Gauge Rake to apply the product.
  • Not apply over the joint to avoid cracking.

Caution

  • Recommend using rubber gloves, dust masks, eye glass and personal safety equipment.
  • Apply with good ventilation. Do not inhale product.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.
  • Keep away from children.

Storage

  • Keep in a cool, dry area, storage temperature should be 0-35 °C.
  • Store products in a good air ventilated and cool place under shade.
  • Shelf life is more than 1 year if the store is in good condition without opening.
